McCain's Concession Speech

McCain has a great concession speech. He applauds Obama throughout the speech even though the audience continues to boo Obama. McCain asks the people to congratulate or country's next president and the people slowly start to see things the way McCain is seeing them throughout the speech. He appeals to the crowds emotions throughout the speech as he talks about how far America has come from the tainted injustices of our nation's past. You can tell McCain has the crowd on his side the entire speech when you hear all the "John McCain, John McCain!" and all the boos for Obama. McCain is a great sport about it though and gives the calm down hand motions. McCain's patriotism and gratitude to his country stir emotions in everyone that watches the speech. It has the power to move people no matter who they voted for.

I think that night if that was the McCain who ran the campaign he would have probably one. I think he gave a great concession speech that really spoke to his character.

Alle,

I like your analysis of McCain's speech. I think we can use some of the techniques of McCain when writing our speech for Palin. Keep up the good work with emailing everyone the minutes, that's a huge help. If we put all our ideas together on Monday we can get a lot done, so come prepared.
