Palin's Glasses
I found a very surprising article about Sarah Palin's new glasses called "Palin's glasses' designer grateful for publicity" for my article of fact. The Japanese designer Kazuo Kawasaki has designed some great new glasses apparently. The new glasses are made of titanium which is super light and non-allergergenic. Kawasaki normally makes about 8,000 of these MP-704 style glasses a year. In the last then days alone, he has already received 9,0000 from around the world, but mostly from the U.S. Palin has made these screwless glasses a hit the U.S. I would have never thought that so many people would want the same glasses she has. But, now that they've been pointed out to me, I really like the sleekness of them. They run for about $400 in the U.S. which isn't really that much for such a good pair of glasses. Even Kawasaki was surprised at this sales bump. He has sold some of them to Colin Powell and Whoopi Goldberg in the past, and they never got the great reception that they've had since Palin started wearing them. He's very greatful for her to wear his glasses. That just really surprises me, but it's a good deal for everyone.

This has been all over the news, I can't believe people want her glasses that bad! How random. Isn't that designer lucky...Maybe he should also get Michelle Obama in a funky new pair too so he can get the other half of the crowd!
FIrst off I think Palin is too cute and I love her glasses. That's really cool to hear about her impact on society and that little guy making the glasses.
It really shows how many people are being affected by this political campaign.
This is hilarious. I cant see how they could be advertised, but I just can't bring myself to see somebody watching the convention and say tho themselves "Gee whiz, I really need a pair of glasses just like that!"
Yes I even heard that the designer was thinking about putting SP on the glasses from now on to sell to stand for "Sara Palin." It is great that she is having this type of influence on people even if it is just for a fashion trend.
This is very interesting and funny. It really makes you think about how much these "normal" people affect our lives. It seems like whatever they have we have to have and just fall in love with them. I would also like to know if the people buying them are mostly Palin supporters, or not.
